About the Role
The Outdoor Adventurers 1-to-1 Support Counsellor position is full time (35 hours/week on average) commencing on or around June 29th, 2023 and finishing on or around September 1st, 2023.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Outdoor Adventurers 1-to-1 Support Counsellor
The successful candidates will enthusiastically assist with the delivery of the Outdoor Adventurers Day Camp program.
This role's key responsibility will be with assisting with any campers who require 1-to-1 support in order to safely and successfully participate in the regular activities of the camp. The successful candidate will receive briefing in advance of each camp week on the campers who may require support, and mentorship on strategies to help these campers have a positive experience.
Requirements
current First Aid and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain),
experience safelyworking with children in an outdoor setting,
strong outdoor skills (additional certifications an asset) and knowledge of our local ecology,
ideas for children’s outdoor skill development, arts, and active activities (rainy day activities as a back-up).
National Lifeguard certification is a strongly recommended asset.
